Staring daggers

This bee was just waiting for me to do one false move today. I didn't though. Gotta get the shot. I respected his space...he respected mine. I could feel his stare though.

Me

There's no good reason why I took a photo of myself during this assignment to photograph an extremely large family reunion, but I don't need a good reason, that's one reason I love photography.

Swimming

This was from a lifeguard competition today in Port Huron.

animals

I've never met a camera shy goat and this one was no exception. That's a buffalo on the left and it couldn't care less.

Blizzard

Sorry for all the in-car photos but that's where I'm at most of the time. If there's anything better than a Chocolate Extreme Blizzard like this one I had today, I've yet to find it. ok, I'm sure there're better things out there, but it was real good. And yes, that drip at the bottom of the spoon landed on my shorts.

Demolition

It's been a while since I've photographed a good 'ol fashioned demolition derby. The mud was flying everywhere so it was a nice break to go in the pit area and find people working on their cars. For some reason it makes me feel good to see people working on these cars that, to me, are beyond hope in so many ways.

Downtown

This was as I was driving home last night through the bad streets of downtown PH.

talkin'

This fella approached me from across the street and said he saw me earlier but I "dusted" him, which I thought was a cool term that I'm sure will find it's way into my vocabulary. It's pushing 80 degrees in this photo and this guy's got on a jacket and, as I'm told, Dora the Explorer wristbands. Anyway, he asks how I'm doing and I said, "busy". He says, "me too. Jimmy Carter, Star Trek and New York." So right there I was confused. Then he asks my name (Keith), my sign (Sagittarius), what state I'm from (Michigan) and the year I graduated High School ('97). I answered because I was so intrigued. So then he said, "Oh wow, you're a KSM97, I havn't met a KSM97 in a long time." I told him I had a job to do and that I had to leave... then we parted ways.

Aerosmith !

The boys from Aerosmith were rockin' in Sarnia, Ontario for Rogers Bayfest and they didn't dissapoint. I was allowed to shoot the first three songs from in front of the stage but once I left I still stuck around for a couple songs. Steven Tyler's pants had eyeballs on each butt cheek. So if anyone needs Christmas ideas for me, try and find those pants..... jk.

Classics

This fella had some awesome classic cars. The one he's pulling out of the garage here is a 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente that he was restoring to give to his wife for their anniversary.

Dandelion

My mom often tells me how she used to pick these so my grandparents could make dandelion wine. I've never tried it but I've always wanted to. I guess this photo is just my tribute.

Boat Watching

These folks were watching the boats enter and exit a harbor up in Lexington on Sunday. They'd been sailing together for 40 years. The fella on the left was from Latvia which I thought was interesting. That's just south of Estonia. It was incredibly hot this day. I just liked how these folks were so content and they seemed as if they were so at peace with just watching boats. And it was obvious that they were in no hurry. That's the way life should be.

Mouse Pad

Behold, the world's smallest mouse pad. I can't believe I used it for so long. Don't worry because as of Sunday it found a new home at the bottom of the garbage can.

Cherry Fest.

I'm not going to be around for the Cherry Festival this year, so here's a photo of the Blue Angels that flew last year over West Grand Traverse Bay.

Hallelujah

This was Vacation Bible School and the children were singing while watching the words on a TV screen. Gotta love the enthusiasm.

CN Tower

This is a photo from Toronto when my girlfriend and I took a trip there for her Spring Break. I used a cheap Holga camera for the first time and although some were crap, this one didn't turn out to bad. The camera was only $25 !

Happiness

A million dog bones couldn't have matched the happiness that this one car ride brought this dog. It was going crazy, yet somehow it knew that it wasn't supposed to jump out.
