This was fun. I was taking photos of sled dogs and I was offered the chance to ride on the sled as they took a lap. There were ear-piercing barks aplenty as the dogs yelled at me to hurry and get in. Once the dog sled team driver took off, barking ceased as the dogs went into run mode and the only sound were the sled's runners glidung through the snow and the drivers commands.
The dogs used are called Eurohounds which I found out is a cross between an Alaskan Husky and a Pointer. This is a dog that is fanatical about snow sports.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Some of my dearest family members made the trek north to Traverse City and for that I'm very thankful. It was a blast seeing them all and feeling the closeness of family. Here's my cousin Bryce rocking 3D glasses I bought when I went to go so "Avatar" way back when. The movie is in the past now but those 3D shades are timeless, especially when wore by this guy.
