Lamp In My Parking Lot Dumpster

This photo is saturated with artistic meaning. I call it "Lamp In My Parking Lot Dumpster". Go ahead...lose yourself in it.
On a serious note, I do need a lamp and this one would've been great had I thought about testing it out. I'm not above using a dumpster lamp.

Drive-in

This is an old drive-in theatre I passed on Sunday while driving back from an assignment in Sandusky, MI (in the thumb).

Dixie

I was on an assignment and rode in the back of a pickup truck to get from one farm to another. This dog, Dixie, had a sole purpose when a truck was moving, and that was to be in the back of it when it did.
The truck is just an old chevrolet. Like a rock. Both photos were in Sandusky, MI, a cool little town in the MI thumb.

so here's me driving the other day, kind of frustrated because I didn't get much sleep the night before and the photo gods were being unkind on this day. Also, I decided not to drink coffee today and my body always gets angry with that decision.

ice cream extravaganza

A local business was giving out FREE ice cream (frozen custard) ! the total giveaway count was 4,881 cones.

nothin' pretty here

there was this science fair for kids. Then this project caught my eye. These are two plants. The one on the left was grown while having "Best Hits of Andrew Lloyd Webber" played. The sickly one on the right was grown while AC/DC was played. AC/DC Rocks !

This was one of the first warm days of the year so it was cool seeing this guy out jammin' with his faithful companion. The dog was 14-years-old (that's 98 in dog years) and it was rescued.

La Festiva

As if a Ford Festiva isn't fast enough. As I found out while driving to work and saw one in front of me...they also come in a Turbo version.

star light

During a hockey practice at an indoor arena there was some light coming through two doors and hitting the floor so here's the photo that resulted.

shed

Just driving south of Marysville (which is south of Port Huron) to an assignment and thought I'd take a photo of this shed. Taking photos that aren't for an assignment feels good, like when I first got into photography. It's also relaxing to me.

I met Darell in 'ol Port Huron one day while I was driving around looking for someone to take pictures of. He was out raking his yard and waved at somebody that drove by. "I'm always outside," Darell said. "People wave and I wave right back. I love the people," Darell explained.

buds

This photo was in Sarnia, Ontario. Every once in a while, I get inspired by my girlfriend to take pretty pictures. She's pretty so if the resulting photo's pretty, that's why.

Chicago

My girlfriend and I were riding a subway toward downtown Chicago when this Star Wars guy walked on with us. I was just making small talk to I said maybe we'll see an ewok along the way and he said we'd have to throw ewoks under the train.

This weekend I went over to my buddy Seth's house and a friend named Josh had purchased hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks which he contributed to the party. They were amazing and rivaled our local fireworks. The cops came and said it wasn't hard to find us. Luckily, the fireworks had been all shot off once they came.

This is the inside of a bar in Port Huron called the Brass Rail. The owner was a women that started it a long time ago when she was 21 and has recently passed away.
