Corporate America

Ever since an earlier post about the Golden Corral bringing 'excitement to Port Huron' I've been noticing examples of corporations and businesses going overboard with things. Maybe I'm weird. Maybe it's because I'm not a businesses man. I just have this thing about businesses getting overly excited about their product(s).
For example, look at the chicken one. There's lots of things that are nice to have all day long, but for me, southern style chicken will never be one of them. And that SUV just has so much action going on it makes me dizzy.

Llama love

The girl on the left was trying to convince the llama to go down the stairs so it could enter a theatre for a rehearsal of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" by holding food in her hand. This llama was fighting those stairs with all it had. The food won in the end and the llama made it. A happy ending. I had no idea llamas were so stubborn.

Takin' the kids to the beach

So I woke up this morning, looked outside, and saw mama with the youngsters. I took the photo thinking something more exciting would come along throughout the day. It really didn't.

This was taken at the Port Huron Country Club while a guy was practicing for an upcoming tournament. I went putt putt golfing with friends this weekend and had a great time. If anyone plays the Royal Oak Adventure Golf, get an early lead because the 18th hole will destroy your score.

Here're some photos from a play rehearsal ,which aren't my favorite events to shoot, but I tried to make it fun.

Port Huron Motorcycle Club

Just a photo I shot from the Port Huron Motorcycle Club dirt drag races on Sunday.

Waiting in the shade

This guy was waiting in the shade of that building to take money for a motorcycle. I've kind of been on an overexposure kick lately so that's why the photo's got a little bit of funk to it.

Ahh summer

I was at a friend's wedding last weekend and I found some time to hang out with my buddy Seth who knew a guy that lived on a lake, Cedar Lake. That's Seth in the background and after I took the photo I jumped into the water. The water's perfect right now !

Waiting for the rain to go away in St. Clair, MI. When I interned in Monroe, MI there was a section called Still Life where photographers could enter photos accompanied with quotes. It allowed for a little creative freedom from the everyday norm. Here's my equivalent to that section.

In the first photo, the rider's 1,800 bull lunges forward super fast and the bull rider's face is stopped by that steel gate. I have no idea how that rider wasn't knocked out.
In the second photo the rider is held back by his fellow cowboy's and asked if he's ok.
In the third photo the rider is knocked off the bull but I don't know how that guy did it.
