state theatre

I was back home in Traverse City a few weeks back and I noticed that our downtown State Theatre reopened which is awesome. I used to watch movies there as a little guy and it's cool to see it back in action. Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore was behind the project. Shot this with my film camera and I have to say that it's been fun and refreshing to shoot film. Processing and CD at Wal-Mart= $4.23, that's not too bad.

Keith,
Thanks for the message on our blog! I must say that I love looking at your blog and usually check it every day while I'm at work. Things in Newburyport are fun! We're making a weekend trip up to Portland, ME this weekend which I'm really looking forward to. Also, I was looking at a lot of you basketball stuff the other night and work and was wondering what you shoot with and how you are lighting it. I hope all is well! How is Monica?! Talk to you soon.

Keith,
is the theater owned by the same people who run the State Theater in Ann Arbor - they look EXACTLY alike!! and yeah, film, that does sound refreshing - i have a bunch of C41 b&w 120 rolls (amazing what you find when you clean the fridge on an arctic Sunday afternoon!)so i think it's time to bust out the holga!
