Blog dog
I was photographing a baseball game and this German Shepherd had some attitude and by that I mean it growled at me enough for me to stand a little farther down the fence. I don't know why animals like this are brought into the public because the owner thought it was the sweetest dog and that by growling it was saying it "Didn't want to play with me". Thanks lady.
Hero
Well it's been a tad busy lately because one photographer is on vacation and another is away on another obligation so our four-person staff has been down to two. Anywho, enough excuses, this is from yesterday. It's a fella that received a standing ovation for running to the aid of a local police chief after he'd been shot.

DNR
A reporter and I went to a DNR office the other day and no one was there. But being the snoop I had to stare in the window. Not that it would ever get printed in a newspaper but there was just something about this office. It's got all the makings of a classic Michigan DNR office. It has the Detroit Tiger player photos and a stuffed owl on the wall. I couldn't fit it in the frame but the chair at the bottom had duct tape on the arms.

Delores
This is 78-years-young Delores. I took her photo because we're doing a story on how she's taking graphic design classes at the college. She also passed Algebra after taking it a couple times but she said they never had Algebra in high school when she was growing up. I think that's amazing that at 78 she passed that class and is doing graphic design.

Art
There was a high school art exhibit opening yesterday in St. Clair and this is from that. There were lots of talented kids there producing amazing art. Actually, if you look, there's a picture of a fish (or whale) in the bottom right of the wall and I thought that was a cool one. I think because to me it was like an "underdog" piece. Something that you wouldn't expect to win a lot. So I love to cheer for the underdog.
The girl at the right in this photo made the grasshopper piece out of paper and it was out of this world, although it doesn't look like much in my photo. She won lots of prizes for her work.
